Renovating Our Bathroom

My husband and I are renovating our house at the moment. It’s been a long time coming, but now that the kids are a little bit older and aren’t occupying the house every weekday and weekend, we’ve finally found the time and the motivation to turn our house into our dream home. And even better, the entire thing is going to be a DIY project. Yes, I know, I know, it’s going to take a long time doing it that way. But we both enjoy different parts of the DIY process.

My husband, for example, visited this Hampton hardware supplies store because he actually genuinely enjoys building things. I, on the other hand, visited a homeware store because I actually enjoy interior design. When you put us together, we seem like a pretty good team. One of the first rooms we have decided to renovate is our bathroom, since it’s the area of the house with the most plumbing and therefore probably the one that would take the most time. Also, if we encounter any problems in this room we want them to be fixed before we do anything else. At least that way, if we have to dig anything up or knock down walls, it won’t impact the rest of our renovation.

We already stopped off at a plumbing supplies and bathroom products store. Cheltenham has many different types of hardware and plumbing stores, so it wasn’t difficult to find a specific one that sold everything we needed. I am so excited to finish the bathroom renovation and get started on the rest of the house. I know we’ll need a bit of timber, and I’m looking forward to going shopping with my husband and choosing the best type of wood for all of our cabinetry. We want everything to match and feel cohesive moving from room to room. Obviously, it’s going to be a lot of work but I know that when the renovations are complete, it’s going to be worth it!
