Next Auto Adventure

At the end of it all, Cosmo and Perd sat at the highest point of New Hobart, watching over the liberated wasteland city as the lights flickered on, the sun beginning to set. Victory achieved, they celebrated with some lemon, lime and bitters, basking in the glory of what they’d done that day.

“I can’t believe it’s done,” Perd said. “The Ivory Skull rose to power so quickly – before the dust had even settled in the Tasman Wastes. And now they’re gone, just as swift as they arrived.”

“And it’s all thanks to us.” Cosmo clinked his glass against Perd’s. “It’s just a shame we couldn’t bring them down sooner. Regardless, the work is done. The question is, what do we do now?”

Perd placed a scaly hand above his lip, considering. “I’ve heard rumours about a famous car service near Hawthorn, back in Victoria. I’ve always wanted to check it out.”

Cosmo nodded. “Perhaps that’s where we’ll go next. Don’t you think we could use a break from all the mechanics and car repair, though? Seems like it’s been the only thing in my life the last few years. But hey, if you’re keen to go see the best car mechanic Hawthorn has to offer, I’m in. We’ve just got to find a way to sneak past the blockade through the Strunnel.”

“I’m sure we’ll find a way,” Perd said. “If we have to force our way through, we’re more than capable.”

“Ain’t that the truth.”

And so, having completed their mission to liberate the people of the Tasman Wastes, the Little Men began to make plans for their next adventure. Although the people they’d destroyed in their quest to free others weighed heavily on their conscience, ultimately they knew that they’d all worked for a group that oppressed others. Now, with the Ivory Skull completely destroyed, they could rest easy, certain that they’d made New Hobart a better place for those living there.
